This book could really use some editing - each chapter could be a third of its current size. And far too many topics/points end -- after much repetitive blathering -- with zero-sum advice, such as: "Generally, nonverbal cues reinforce or contradict feelings that are communicated verbally." Really?

I've read, took classes with, and taught from far better written and much more coherent and beneficial leadership/supervision titles.

Perhaps as a first year college course this title would be worth its monetary cost but even that's a stretch as the cost it extracts in time is unbearable.
